I have investigated and tried many systems that purport to bring about changes in one's life. I never found one that worked for me. Almost invariably there was this stumbling block over visualization.
As a result, I began to have this negative feeling about any and all life change systems that even mentioned visualization. I could not hold pictures in my mind, much less sounds, tastes, feelings or smells!
I also bought into the fundamental idea that words alone have no meaning beyond this physical realm and that the creative intelligence of the Universe could not or would not use them for the purpose of manifesting the life changes that a person desired.
This search has gone on, sporadically, for over forty years. It did not make my life a tragedy. However, I became what I might call a 'spiritual cynic'. I quit looking! I quit trying!
Several months ago I began to stumble across people and books and DVDs that began to cause pieces of the puzzle to fall into place. Mostly, these encounters were forcefully pointing to things that I already knew, but had chosen to ignore. With each little piece that fell into place it is almost like being hit in the face with a cold, wet rag.
These moments were more that 'Ah ha' moments! They were more like chastising moments that said 'See, you already know that! Every human being knows that! Quit ignoring it!'
One rather simple incident occurred about this time that led me to write Let's Play Like ... . I was sitting with friends discussing movies. If I remember correctly, the subject was Cary Grant. Someone mentioned the old classic 'Arsenic and Old Lace'. The title of this movie triggered a flash in my mind of the entire movie. I almost missed it! You see I was feeling good about just having remembered the movie.
This also brought an astounding insight to me. Not only could I visualize, but I was really good at it. I, like every one else in the world, am a natural 'visualizer'!
I had been missing it all of my life! At the least, I had been misnaming it!
Along with this insight came another. An analogy between movie making and manifesting changes in one's life began to grow in my mind. Then a method began to emerge and it looked like it would be fun to try!
I did try it out. I took it on a test flight, so to speak. AND! It works! The small book that I am offering you is the result of that 'test flight'. AND! It was so much fun to do!
